B L O G - - I N S T A G R A M |
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF.
As
you can tell by the picture, I am a brilliant winker (not). Also, if you are
using deductive reasoning, you will notice that I am wearing
a wedding dress and I must be a newlywed, because I am still obsessed
with my wedding pictures. It is all true, you caught me! I live in the best
state ever (no offense) - Colorado- with my husband in a house we just
bought. We look grown-up but we are not. We brew our own beer, watch Doctor Who way past our bedtimes, spend mucho amounts of time with our best friends, go to
the zoo, and stuff like that.
I
love to create, write, explore, learn, and sing off key (my husband LOVES it
;)). I love Jesus & people. I work on the events team at a local non-profit
crisis pregnancy center and I LOVE MY JOB! I also work at the Gap & I try
very hard not to spend all my paycheck there, even
though I usually do.
WHAT MADE YOU START BLOGGING?
It
all started one day when I was studying abroad in Northern Ireland. I
wanted a place to journal with pictures, I guess. I had NO IDEA there was a
blogging culture out there. A friend on the trip even had to help me set up an
account and then the rest is history. I am a big nerd and I loved (still love)
making my blog my own, organizing it, and learning new things!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE THINGS TO BLOG ABOUT?
My
blog is a lifestyle blog. The things I think, do, make, and the people I
interact with. My favorite posts have to do with the people I love. I
love showing off my husband and how great he is, bragging about
my nieces & nephews, sharing my adventures with my besties -
those things! Like I said earlier, my blog is a picture journal. For me and for
anyone else who wants to learn & be inspired!
YOU RECENTLY GOT MARRIED. TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT NEWLYWED LIFE.
I did just get married! I LOVE
it. I really do! I have always had a roommate and I have always loved it!
Living with your best friend is the best thing in life. Bruce is my best friend
and even though we fight sometimes (yes, it is true, I am not perfect!) we have
so much fun together. We cook meals, watch tv shows, steal each others' covers,
decorate, invite people over, play games, and kiss. It is the best of
both worlds.
I
was surprisingly encouraged the first months of marriage that we still liked
each other. That sounds silly, but I do a lot of reading on things (I told you I
am nerdy) and I was afraid marriage would only be hard. It is a new
kind of relationship and definitely something we have to continue
being intentional about, but it is mostly SO FUN. I think a huge part of that
was// is our commitment to the Lord and our commitment to each other. We have to
make it work because there is no way out anymore - we might as well ENJOY it!
haha :)
