best homemade hot cocoa

I'm loving the cold weather right now because it means lots of layers, fire in the fireplace, cozy blankets, and hot drinks! One of my favorite hot drinks is homemade hot cocoa and I just love my mom's recipe :) It is easy, inexpensive, and tastes so much better to me than boxed hot cocoa.

Directions

Mix together the following in a saucepan:
2 tbsp cocoa
3 tbsp sugar
1/3 tsp salt

Stir in:
1/2 cup hot water

Bring to a boil over low heat. Boil 2 minutes, stirring all the time.

Add in:
2 cups milk

Heat over low heat. Do not boil. Drop marshmallows into cups and pour hot cocoa over it.
