diy: industrial side table

This is one of those really simple DIY projects that everyone can enjoy doing. It doesn't take much skill and you can translate this into a variety of other projects. I thought about also making a longer buffet table or even add more shelving to turn it into a media console table. Make it yours!

SUPPLIES

  • Piece of wood, stained (mine is approximately 4 feet long by 8 inches wide)
  • (2) 3/4" x 36" Galvanized Steel Pipes
  • (4) 3/4" Galvanized Iron 90 Degree Elbows
  • (2) 3/4" Galvanized Iron Floor Flanges
  • (4) 3/4" x 4" Galvanized Steel Pipes
  • (2) 3/4" Galvanized Iron Tees

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Stain or treat your wood.
  2. Screw in the two floor flanges to the bottom of your piece of wood. Make sure they are centered.
  3. Put the rest of the pieces of piping together as show in picture above. The 90 degree elbows act as "feet", connected to the (4) four inch pipes. Those are each connected to the iron tees. The top part of the iron tee is connected to the long 36 inch pipe.
  4. Screw each leg into the connected floor flange and you're done!
