Wedding Photos: the Bridesmaids
What a great weekend! We spent Friday relaxing and watching episodes of "The Office". Then, on Saturday, I made french toast, we did chores around the house, and then we celebrated Savannah's 24th birthday with our friends. It was a wonderful and restful weekend.
I'm still not used to being married yet. It still seems all very surreal and I'm wondering if I will ever get used to it. My favorite parts of being married are not having to say goodnight and waking up next to each other every morning. The first morning Drew and I were married, he woke me up saying, "Good morning Mrs. Highsmith." And he has continued to wake me up this way every morning since. He is so sweet. The funny part is, we both agree that the most difficult part of being married so far is sleeping in the same bed. Haha. I struggle with sleeping in the middle of the bed (see Kate's post here) and Drew likes to sleep all sprawled out and knees up. So we end up kicking each other and rolling on top of one another all night... which leads to little sleep at all.
On a side note, I will be announcing the winner of the Shabby Apple Giveaway TOMORROW, so if you haven't entered to win the $50 credit, do it now!
Okay. And now for some more beautiful wedding photos. Aren't my bridesmaids beautiful? As you can see, they each picked out their own dress from a color palette I gave them ranging from powder blue to mint. They all bought the same coral red shoes from Urban Outfitters and the light pink and green bouquets added the perfect final touch! They also wore pinky pearl earrings and various cocktail rings ranging from gold to blue to pink. I absolutely loved how they all looked together. We had so much fun!
My sister, Mary, was my Matron of Honor. There is nothing like sisterly love ... and Mary truly loves with all her heart. She gave a toast at the wedding that had me in tears and I was so honored that she would stand up there with me on such a special day. Also, she just had a baby (my cute little nephew Garner) and not only was she a smokin' hot bridesmaid, but Garner was a joy to have around the whole weekend :) Needless to say, he spent a lot of time in my arms.
