TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF

I live in the amazing city of Nashville, TN, with my incredibly smart and awesome husband, Michael. I love to get crafty and plan adventures. I am a sucker for sappy movies and I might have a slight addiction to all things chocolate. I love a good party. Oh, and Fridays and GLITTER are my favorite! I am passionate about creating a beautiful, whole life and I enjoy inspiring others through stories, crafts, adventures, and healthy lifestyle tips. I believe all of life...though sometimes messy... is incredibly lovely.

WHY DID YOU START YOUR OWN BLOG?

I started my own blog a few years ago, first, as an online journal. I loved having a place to write about what I was walking through and really sort out my feelings. Then I stumbled upon the blog, A Beautiful Mess, and was so inspired by them that I realized my "journal" could be so much more. I had an epiphany that I could really dive in and have a business (a blog) where I get to mix all of my passions in one place. I had been trying to figure out for years how exactly I could "work" while creating art and encouraging others and blogging has been like coming home to me. So I got to work and redesigned my blog and officially launched Lovely. Healthy. Whole. in February this year!

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

I love traditions! As a kid, on Christmas Eve my mom would let me open just one present (cause I couldn't wait just a few more hours). We made cookies for Santa and I would go to bed extra early. I ALWAYS got up in the middle of the night to see what Santa had brought and open presents. I always loved the magic of Christmas and the excitement of surprises on Christmas morning. After opening presents, I would go back to bed and get up at a decent hour. Since I am all grown up and married now, (and my husband has a deal with Santa that he comes later in the morning) we are working to make some new Christmas morning traditions!

WHAT SONGS ARE ON YOUR CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST?

The Mariah Carey Christmas album is my Christmas go to. I also really love the song "Tender Tennessee Christmas" by Amy Grant (taking it back old school) and "I Heard the Bell on Christmas Day" by Casting Crowns.
