TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF

I am a freelance illustrator currently attending the Academy of Art University in SF where I am majoring in illustration and will be graduating in December 2013. I have loved drawing ever since I can remember, and knew that I wanted to be an artist at an early age. With a love of vintage, I attend many vintage themed events with friends and blog about them later. Vintage themes are also slowly being incorporated into my artwork and my everyday style.

WHY DID YOU START YOUR OWN BLOG / SHOP?

I started my shop because I have always wanted to sell my artwork and I finally felt like I was making things that I would personally buy myself. My blog was created because I wanted to have a hobby outside of art. Even though I do post about my art, I mostly blog about my vintage adventures and other lifestyle events.

WHAT'S ON YOUR WISH LIST RIGHT NOW?

My wish list right now includes a lot of vintage clothes and accessories, but I also really want a nice printer that prints large sized prints that I can use for my shop.

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR WORK?

A little bit of everything. Sometimes I get ideas when I am listening to music, reading books, watching movies, or surfing the internet. Also all of the vintage clothing and events that I have been around lately have a big impact on the things that I have been focusing on in my work.

ANYTHING ELSE?

Right now I am working on putting together a Vintage Inspiration art-book with illustrations inspired by vintage fashion. Hopefully digital and physical copies of the book will be available to buy shortly. Within the next couple of months. Personally I am really excited about it.
