This is what I wore our first day in Austin, Texas. I know - it seems ridiculous to wear boots like this in August ... in Texas ... when it's like a billion degrees. BUT - they are actually so much more breath-able than you might think. And wearing them with a breezy skirt is much better than wearing jeans. Plus, they just complete the look perfectly. I wore this outfit to a dinner hosted by Minnetonka that we were invited to. We loved getting to meet the lovely gals from Minnetonka and also some really amazing bloggers who have collaborated with the brand and who love them some Minnetonka. It was so much fun!

Last week, I had the privilege of working on Laura of Roots & Feathers' calligraphy for her blog and she sent me this beautiful necklace that I'm completely in love with. I love how versatile it is and yet what a statement it adds to any outfit. Thank you, Laura!!! :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Drew and I have a busy next few weeks as he is picking up extra work. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things this week and hopefully having some good alone time / brainstorm sessions after all of the inspiration I have in my notebook and floating around in my brain from the conference.
