diy: easy artwork you can do

Several people have asked me to do an artwork DIY for someone who doesn't have skills with drawing or painting. So, I looked around our apartment and realized that recently I had done some simple ombre artwork to add some color to our kitchen that was easy and quick. So, here's how you can do it.



SUPPLIES:

  • Acrylic paint
  • Paper
  • Paintbrush
  • Cup of water
  • Frames (optional)



HOW TO:


           
            1 // Pick a color scheme based on 2-3 colors next to each other on the color wheel
            2 // Mix those colors with the one next to it if you want to create an ombre effect, going from darker to lighter
            3 // Paint lines or rows of dots (see final photo above) - or any pattern you want - changing hues slightly as you go up
            4 // Let it dry and frame it to create a gallery worthy look!
