recent updates

Over Christmas break, on top of resting and rejuvenating, I worked on some more artwork. After we took down the advent calendar and Christmas decorations, the wall above our dining table was empty and I didn't want to put up the same stuff I had before. I also had a problem with that area of the room being very under-lit. Whenever I would work at the table, I had to bring over extra lamps to be able to see what I was working on. So, I found a piece of plywood and had a bunch of fun painting this mountain landscape. Drew framed it with wood to match the table and we bought two wall lamps from Ikea to finish it off. Now, the wall flows really well with the rest of the room and that corner of our apartment is bright and cheery instead of dark and not very well lit.



I was also unhappy with the wall over our couch. When we first moved in, I had put stuff up that I knew would be temporary and I was ready to replace it! After doing a watercolor series recently, I decided to frame those and collage them above the couch.

So, those are my updates so far. I'm planning to update our coffee table and a few things in our kitchen before moving to our bedroom! :)
