cheer: host a party & decorate your table
Decorating my table this year was so much fun. Mainly because I finally had enough dinnerware to fill the table and actually have people over to our home. :) When registering for dinnerware, I decided to go with a base white Lenox pattern so that during the holidays and other occasions I could still use it and it would look good. I also wanted the capability to mix and match salad plates and other pieces with pops of color and I figured I would like white the rest of my life.
For our table centerpiece, I found some odds and ends and put them together. I used a reindeer I got from Michael's, some pine cones from outside, a few white candles stuck in margarita glasses (don't judge, just being thrifty here), some tea light candles, and some glitter Christmas trees from last year. Instead of place-mats I put down some burlap runners because I didn't want to take away from the beautiful wood table Drew made. I used gold chargers - also from Michael's - and crystal glasses my grandmother gave me to finish it off with some class.

We were able to have a few friends over for lunch recently and we all enjoyed being fancy together. :) I love a reasonable excuse to dress up and have a party. Speaking of which, we had an amazing holiday party with friends last weekend at Savannah and Jon's home. Check out what Savannah did with her table for the party - I loved being able to help out and write the names on the place-mats I thought that was such a cute idea! I would love to maybe even add a menu to the side! What do you think?
