What a beautiful week! But, it all started with some bad news. You know how things come in threes? You don't? Well, you may find out one day soon that they do. I went to get an oil change and found out I had an 8 inch gash in one of my tires and needed to get two of them replaced. I was very thankful they caught it before the tire blew. Then, Drew's transmission in his car started being wanky and after my transmission went out on my old car 1.5 years ago, I knew by the sound of his that it wouldn't be long until the same thing happened. Then, I came home and got a bill from the hospital for $700 from Drew's emergency room visit in August. All in the same day.

You see? Things happen in threes. But, it did up being a great week. Drew found a place where he could trade in his car for a good price and we got a lightly used Ford Fiesta SES hatchback. It's really fun to drive! It turns on a dime and has really cool features like special "mood lighting", Sirius radio, and even tells us how many miles per gallon we are using. Which, speaking of, this car gets an average of 40mpg. Talk about awesome since we travel so much and live in Atlanta - the city of "it takes an hour to get anywhere"!

So this weekend we took the new Fiesta up to Highlands, North Carolina, to spend time with Drew's family. It was absolutely beautiful there. The weekend was full of hiking, wine, sitting by the fire, shopping, and family. We will be spending Thanksgiving with my side of the family, so it was great to spend this weekend together with Drew's side.

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:

I love log cabin decor. The wood, deer antlers, big aztec rugs, huge stone fireplaces, and the "manly" look of things. It's so warm and cozy.
I prefer cooler weather like the fall and winter, because I love to snuggle up by the fire with some hot cocoa and wear lots of layers.
I have daily chronic migraines.
