thankful hearts
What a wonderful Thanksgiving! Drew and I headed up to my parents' house in Knoxville on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday, we spent the day with part of my side of the family eating turkey, playing with my cousin's baby, and visiting with each other. I love my family. I missed those who weren't able to make it, but was so happy to see so many.
Then, on Friday, my cousin and I worked on some Christmas crafts. My mom, grandma, and I set up the Christmas tree and decorated it, and then we had "Christmas" with my immediate family and grandparents. We have done this the past few years because my brother and sister and their families can't make it back to Knoxville on Christmas, so we celebrate it the day after Thanksgiving.
There is much to be thankful for. I am thankful for good health, a loving family, the start of a strong marriage with my best friend and husband, best friends and strong relationships, a great community, good jobs, trials and struggles that make us stronger and refine our character, for a loving and great God, for hope and joy, and many, many other things. I am thankful.
