Surprise!
So, this is the surprise I received this weekend. While I was babysitting my cousins, Drew was up at his parents' house in Gainesville building a kitchen table.
Let me just brag on my very-near-future husband. (Eeek!! I'm so happy he's almost my husband!) He is seriously talented at everything he does. And when I say everything, I mean everything. He is what you call a "Renaissance Man." This weekend, he decided to build a kitchen table. He showed me a picture online and said, "I'm going to build you this table." With no carpentry training or classes and never having built a table before, he did it. On the first try. With no problems.
AND...not only did he build a beautiful table, but without me knowing, he took pictures along the way, because he knew I would want to blog about it. What a thoughtful, servant-hearted man I have! He is so considerate and I am so proud to call him my fiance. :) So, here are the snapshots of his progress building the table with a few simple step-by-step instructions (although there were many more steps than this!) He is saving the legs to be put on once we get it down to Atlanta. We will also be staining it sometime after that.
