Bridesmaids: Hues and Hems

It has been a crazy week so far! Last week, I sent out a document to my bridesmaids on what to wear including their color palette, dress inspiration photos, and a brief wedding weekend outline. I found it was really helpful to break it down into sections and send it out in a document so they can print it out or refer back to it at any time. When thinking about the look I wanted for my bridesmaids, my goals included:

1) That they not spend a ton of money.
2) I wanted to highlight and accent their individual beauty.
3) For them to enjoy what they are wearing and feel comfortable.
4) For the colors and palette to compliment each other, but not match exactly.

So, with those goals in mind, I decided that each girl would pick out her own dress from anywhere she wanted as long as it fell within the sample of colors I provided.  I also requested that it fall around knee-length and be a solid print, not patterned. I got the inspiration from the pictures above - different dresses, similar hues. From that idea, here is the sample of colors I chose:

Here are some sample dresses I showed them for inspiration:

I asked them all to send me a picture of their dress once they found it so that I could get an idea of how it was all fitting together. For their shoes, I chose these from Urban Outfitters that are a coral-red.They look beautiful up against the pale blues! And they're on sale!

I am so honored to have each of these ladies stand next to me as Drew and I commit our lives to each other. Each of them has been a special inspiration and encouragement to our relationship and I am happy to honor them each in that.
