Holiday DIY Party: Coaster DIY

Welcome to Day 2 of the Holiday DIY Party! Be sure to check out the Peppermint Hot Cocoa from earlier this morning as well as the Burlap Wreath and Ribbon Lights from yesterday! I am so excited to share with you an easy and beautiful DIY project that will add flavor and color to your home. Because this DIY doesn't take long at all, it also makes a great house-warming gift to grab on your way to a party or to give as presents for Christmas -- just tie some twine or ribbon around a few and they're ready to give away! While creating the coasters, I found that thinner paper worked better than thicker cardstock. So, get ready, pick out your favorite patterned paper, and start customizing your coasters!

COASTER DIY

SUPPLIES NEEDED

  1. Fun, patterned paper of your choice. Tip: It's best to use thinner paper.
  2. Clear, sealing spray.
  3. Mod Podge.
  4. White, ceramic tiles. Not Pictured: Felt.

DIY STEPS

  1. Trace your paper with your tile and cut out.
  2. Paint Mod Podge on your ceramic tile.
  3. Carefully place paper on tile. Let dry.
  4. Spray on sealing spray. Let dry.
  5. Hot glue round felt pieces on the bottom to prevent scratching on surfaces.
