my favorite lips
I didn't use to wear lipstick at all. I always thought it looked really weird on me and I didn't like how most of the ones I tried were sticky or would smear all over my face. So I just didn't wear it. Then, one day last fall when Savannah and I were exploring new makeup at
, I found Stila's Stay All Day Matte Liquid Lipstick. I tried on the sample at the store and loved how it went on like a gloss and then within seconds dried matte. I had never explored the matte look and loved the way it looked. AND - it didn't come off on my coffee cup! So, I decided that I would start trying out lipsticks. I bought a sample size they had in the color Beso. Over the past several months, I've explored lots of lipsticks in lots of colors, but my favorite is still Stila's Stay All Day. Last month I picked up 2 more colors to try - Patina and Aria.
The thing I love about
is the berry tone isn't too overwhelming. When I was looking at it online, it looked a lot more crazy than it does on in person. I was a little worried when I ordered it that I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but now it's one of my favorites to put on because it goes with so many outfits.
is such a classic red. It's my husband's favorite color on me and he loves that he can give me kisses without it getting all over him :) I love the richness of this red and how it makes any outfit red carpet worthy. This is my favorite lipstick to wear out on a date.
definitely is a more subtle tone and works perfectly as an every day color. It's more muted than I thought it would be from the pictures online, but I really wanted an option that was understated so it works for me. It's especially great if I want to wear a dramatic smoky eye look and still have something on my lips.
